Accessibility

What we do so that this website works for everyone, and how to tell us about a problem.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

dailyray aims to make dailyray.info usable on any device, in any browser and with any assistive technology. This statement sets out what has been done, which shortcomings remain and how to report a problem.

1. Our commitment

We regard accessible pages as ordinary maintenance work at dailyray rather than an additional feature. Every new page and every change to the design is checked to make sure the text remains readable, the navigation remains usable without a mouse and no information is carried by colour alone. The statement applies to dailyray.info only.

2. Feedback

Please report any accessibility problem you encounter by email to hello@dailyray.info or by telephone on 01223 458 217. A short description of the page, of the difficulty and of the device or assistive technology involved allows us to reproduce the fault. We normally answer within five working days and explain what we intend to do about it.

3. Standards

Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We describe the site as partially conformant, because a few elements still fall short of individual criteria; pages are reviewed regularly and problems are fixed as they are found.

4. Limitations we know of

Some pictures are general illustrations with a short alternative text rather than a full description.

5. What we do

The website uses semantic HTML with a clear heading structure, one main heading per page and link texts that make sense on their own. Navigation and main content are marked as separate regions, each page states its language for screen readers, and images that carry information have text alternatives.

Colours are selected so that body text, links and buttons maintain a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background. Font sizes are expressed in relative units, so that text can be enlarged in the browser without content being cut off. Links, menus and form fields can be operated using the keyboard alone.

6. Other ways to reach us

If a page on dailyray.info does not work for you, the same information is available without the website. Reach us by telephone on 01223 458 217, by email at hello@dailyray.info or by post at 14 Mill Road Yard, Cambridge CB1 2AD, and on request we will send the content of a page in another form.

7. Preparation of this statement

This statement is dated 26 October 2026 and is based on a self-assessment by dailyray, not on an external audit. We tested the navigation, the contact form and the main page types ourselves with a keyboard, browser zoom and a screen reader, and we review the text once a year and whenever the website is rebuilt.
